Chief Executive Officer and Director
Roddey Dowd, Jr. is Chief Executive Officer and a director of Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, the North Carolina manufacturer he joined in 1981 after working for Irving Trust Co. in New York City. Across his tenure he has worked through manufacturing operations, corporate affairs, and new product development, and today oversees those functions while helping guide the company’s long-range strategic planning.
Mr. Dowd has served on the boards of the Charlotte Speech and Hearing Center, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Historic Landmarks Commission, and Woodberry Forest School. He holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and attended Woodberry Forest School. He lives in Stanly County, North Carolina, with his wife, Jane.
