Pete Obermueller

President

Pete Obermueller is President of the Petroleum Association of Wyoming (PAW), a post he has held since January 2019. PAW is the state’s principal oil and natural gas trade association, and Mr. Obermueller represents Wyoming’s producing sector before state and federal policymakers, including testimony before the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee on federal leasing and permitting.

Before joining PAW, Mr. Obermueller moved back to Wyoming in 2013 to lead the Wyoming County Commissioners Association. Earlier in his career he served Wyoming in Washington, D.C. as an aide to former U.S. Representatives Barbara Cubin and Cynthia Lummis.

A graduate of Natrona County High School in Casper, Wyoming, Mr. Obermueller holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Minnesota.
