Republican, Texas House of Representatives, District 56
Member, Legislative Advisory Board
Pat Curry is a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 56 in the Waco area of McLennan County. He first won the seat in 2024 and was sworn in on November 18, 2024, succeeding the retiring Charles “Doc” Anderson. In the 89th Legislature he serves on the Transportation Committee and the Committee on the Delivery of Government Efficiency, the Texas House’s government-efficiency panel. He holds no chamber leadership title.
Before entering the legislature, Curry built a career in business. He owns PJC Investments LLC, a Waco-based holding company whose portfolio has included HVAC and plumbing, hearing-aid retail, and family entertainment franchises, and he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University. Curry represents a district in the country’s largest energy-producing state, and among his stated priorities are water-resource diversification and protecting McLennan County’s water supply, an infrastructure focus that connects to the reliability questions at the center of energy security.
