President and Co-Owner
Mike McDonald is President and co-owner of Triad Energy, Inc., an Oklahoma City oil and gas exploration and production company he co-founded in 1981. He earned a B.B.A. in Accountancy from the University of Mississippi and both a J.D. and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University. He served in the United States Air Force from 1976 to 1980 as a member of the Judge Advocate General’s Corps.
A longtime industry leader, Mr. McDonald is a former Chairman of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, past President of the Domestic Energy Producers Alliance, and a past Chairman of the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board. He has testified before Congress on oil and gas regulation and taxation, received the Distinguished Leadership Award from the National Stripper Well Association, and was inducted into the Wildcatters Hall of Honor.
