Kyle Hilbert

Republican, Oklahoma House of Representatives, District 29
Member, Legislative Advisory Board

Kyle Hilbert is the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, a Republican representing District 29, which covers parts of Creek and Tulsa counties. He was first elected to the House in November 2016 and became the 45th Speaker in January 2025, the youngest person to hold the post in state history. As Speaker he presides over the chamber and sets its legislative agenda, and he co-chairs the Legislative Evaluation and Development (LEAD) Committee. In February 2026 the House Republican caucus re-elected him as Speaker-designate for the coming legislative term.

Hilbert holds a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness and an M.B.A., both from Oklahoma State University, and worked as vice president of his family’s business before entering full-time public service. His legislative record includes the DRIVE Act, which restructured transportation funding, and the Redbud School Funding Act. He leads the House of one of the country’s foremost oil and natural gas producing states, giving him a direct role in the policy decisions that shape American energy production and, through it, the nation’s energy security.
