Jarvis Caldwell

Republican, Colorado House of Representatives, District 20
Member, Legislative Advisory Board

Jarvis Caldwell is a Republican member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing District 20 in northern El Paso County, an area that includes the U.S. Air Force Academy, Monument, Black Forest, Gleneagle, and Woodmoor. He was first elected in 2024 and took office on January 8, 2025. On September 20, 2025, the House Republican caucus elected him Minority Leader, succeeding Rose Pugliese. He sits on the House Business Affairs and Labor Committee and the Transportation, Housing and Local Government Committee, and as caucus leader holds seats on the Executive Committee of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Council.

Caldwell served roughly ten years in the United States Air Force, beginning as an aircraft and avionics technician working on F-15E maintenance and later moving into the Judge Advocate General’s Corps as a paralegal, with deployments to Afghanistan, Korea, and England. After his military service he worked at the Colorado State Capitol as a legislative aide and then as communications director for the House Republicans before winning his own seat. His military record and his representation of a district built around the Air Force Academy connect him to the defense-readiness and national-security concerns at the center of CSA’s work, and Colorado’s standing as a major energy-producing state keeps energy-security policy within his legislative purview.
