Tim Stewart

President

Tim Stewart is President of the U.S. Oil and Gas Association (USOGA), one of the nation’s oldest national oil and gas trade associations, representing producers and integrated energy companies on federal policy. He has led USOGA since November 2020, and brings roughly three decades of Washington experience on energy and natural-resource policy.

Stewart’s career bridges Capitol Hill and the private sector. He served as Legislative Director and Chief of Staff of the U.S. House Committee on Natural Resources from 2001 to 2003, and earlier spent roughly seven years as a senior aide to U.S. Senator Robert (Bob) Bennett of Utah, where he handled the senator’s work on energy, natural resources, the environment, and agriculture, including the Interior, Energy and Water, and Agriculture appropriations subcommittees. He went on to found three government-relations and consulting firms: American Capitol Group in 2004, Energy North America in 2009, and Bennett Consulting Group in 2011.

Stewart holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Utah State University. His engagement with CSA strengthens the link between domestic energy production and the national-security questions CSA exists to inform.
