Owner; President and Chairman, Fairfax Oil Company
Don D. Montgomery, Jr. is the owner of Monexco, LLC, which he founded in 1978, and President, Chairman, and owner of Fairfax Oil Company, incorporated in Texas in 1984. He also holds a majority interest in Montgomery Exploration Company. He grew up in the oil and gas business in El Dorado, Arkansas, where his father worked as a geologist, and earned a degree in Petroleum Land Management and Accounting from the University of Oklahoma, followed by a J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law and graduate legal study at the University of London.
Mr. Montgomery has served as Vice President of the Domestic Energy Producers Alliance (DEPA). He has been active in public policy over many years, including service on an Interstate Oil Compact regulatory committee under Texas Governor Ann Richards and on the federal Energy Task Force in 1976.
