Trained at University of Texas – Southwestern Medical School, Yale, and Johns Hopkins, Dr. Fagadau is currently a clinical assistant professor at UT Southwestern Medical School; a former Councilor of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, he has published in leading eye journals, lectured internationally and is currently the President of the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists (the nation’s leading medical society dedicated to contact lens research). Furthermore, Dr. Fagadau has been a health policy advisor to several national political leaders.

Dr. Fagadau’s family has been involved in the energy industry in Texas for three generations. In 1985-1986, he served as the Vice-President for Education in the first iteration of the CSA, promoting (1) the need for a sound domestic energy policy as a critical element of national security planning, and (2) the need for a strong American relationship with Israel as a bulwark of security in a notably unstable region …a role he now reprises in the re-establishment of the Council.
