James S. Tisch is Chairman of the Board of Loews Corporation.

Mr. Tisch served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the company from 1999 through December 31st of 2024. Prior to joining Loews in 1977, he worked at CNA Financial Corporation. In addition to chairing the Loews Board,

Mr. Tisch serves on the Board of Directors of CNA Financial.

Mr. Tisch is Co-Chairman of the Boards of Trustees for the Mount Sinai Health System, and he serves on the Executive Committee of the Partnership for New York City. He is also a Chairman Emeritus of the Board of WNET, parent of WNET Channel 13 and WLIW Channel 21.

Mr. Tisch is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is an Honorary Member and past Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency for Israel, past Chairman of the Board of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, past Chairman of the Board of United Jewish Communities, past President of UJA-Federation of New York, and a former director on the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as well as the General Electric Corporation.

Mr. Tisch is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Cornell University, where he majored in economics. He holds an MBA with Distinction from the Wharton Graduate School of the University of Pennsylvania.
